Today is National Plant a Flower Day. I love flowers and daisies are my favorite. I love daisies because they are simple, grow everywhere and have a long flowering span. And most importantly, every time I see them they make me smile.

Flowering planets emerged about 130 million years ago. The flower’s evolution is responsible for the burst of plant growth that changed the face of earth and the evolution many animals. Without flowers we would have no fruits or vegetables to eat, and for that matter no beer or wine to drink.

As botanist Luther Burbank said, “Flowers always make people better, happier and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine to the soul.” So take time out this week and plant a seed that will flower and spread the joy.

*Gemini – Emperor – The Emperor’s lessons are around materializing ways or things that can make your life better. You can make headway on any project you put your mind to this week. This can be as complex as getting a deal on a new car, creating plans for a new project, or as simple as getting a new can opener that really works.

*Cancer – Sun – The Sun is foretelling that your world is changing for the better if you keep life simple. The Sun card rules arts, science, and agriculture, so spend time expanding one of these aspects of your life. You can put this into practice by going to a museum, doing your own art, going to a farmers market, or playing in your garden.

Leo – Five of Wands – Last week, the Sun asked you to feel the warmth of the light and ponder how you and the sun bestow energy onto the world. Now the Five of Wands arrives bringing chaotic energy, but because of last week’s energy boost you have the information to tame that energy and the knowledge to stay flexible while doing it.

Virgo – Page of Wands – The Page of Wands is asking, why aren’t you enthusiastic about your life? The definition of enthusiasm is absorbing or controlling possession of the mind by any interest or pursuit; lively interest. Your challenge this week is to find something that interests you and dive in.

Libra – King of Swords – This week you need to put on your thinking cap. Your life is going to need all of your brain cells to focus on the problems at hand. The King of Swords challenges you to keep your mind from wandering. So, be careful this week especially while walking or driving and pay attention to where you put down your phone or keys.

Scorpio – Six of Swords – The past three weeks you have had some heavy hitters. This week the Six of Swords advises you take a break. See if you can get some time alone, preferably near water. You need time to think through all that has happened in February and regroup.

Sagittarius – Ace of Wands – Your soul is crying out for some adventure and/or creativity in your life. This week try to feed your soul with music, art, and culture either by creating it or surrounding yourself with it.

 

*Capricorn – Justice – You got Justice again. So here is last week’s tarotcast: “This week is a test of the integrity of your actions. The challenge with the Justice card is timing. The best advice is to see if your short term actions fit within your soul’s goals. If they are aligned then your fortune will roll out naturally. I take it as a sign that you have lucked out, you get another week to work on this card. These two weeks are a time where you can make some important gains to ease the path of your future.

Aquarius – Seven of Wands – The challenge around the Seven of Wands is to maintain focus this week. There will be a lot of distractions, so keep your eyes on the prize.

 

*Pisces – Strength – This is a great card for your birth month and year. You should pay attention to all big cards that get pulled during your birth month, for they are guides for your new year. In 2017, your challenge and focus will be to strengthen your convictions and actions. By your next birthday, you will be more courageous and have more tools to tame the “wild beasts” in your life. This is your year to be a Power Pisces.
