Japan has taken street art to a whole new level.  In the 1980’s, the government wanted to standardize their sewer system; however, in some of the outer communities they were meet with resistance.  Until a savvy bureaucrat solved the problem by having each town choose their own manhole design.  Now nearly 95% of the municipalities in Japan sport their own specially design manhole cover.  You can read about the history and see more examples in Drainspotting by Remo Camerota.

Ponderings:  When we want something to happen in our environment to evolve – letting people have creative input seems to oil the wheels of progress.  How can you use this tool in your own dealings?

Leo – Five of Wands

The Five of Wands foretells chaos.  The best way to deal with this card is to know that you cannot control chaos, and you do not have to participate in it.  This is a week where avoidance or side stepping issues is recommended

 

*Virgo – Empress

The Empress is the card of creation of all kinds.  This week is prime time to start projects, garden, cook, or doing anything that brings love and warmth into your environment.

 

Libra – Eight of Cups

Last week, the Hangman suggested not starting anything new.  That energy continues this week with the Eight of Cups.   This is a card of release.  Time to use these instances of outer inertia to release look inward and let go of old habits and emotions that no longer serve you. This is also a great time to do some Spring cleaning.  You will feel lighter by week’s end.

Scorpio – Queen of Cups

Another fun-filled week with the Queen of Cups.  She challenges you all to create events and environments to enjoy the good things in life.  However, she does require that you do this with others.

 

Sagittarius – Six of Swords

The last two weeks have challenged on how you champion Justice and whether those actions align with your integrity.  The Six of Swords continues this theme by asking you to fine tune what you have learned the past two weeks, and take this show on the road.  The challenge will be to create a Yellow book version of your moral codes.

*Capricorn – Star

Hopefully, last week you finished up or released some projects that are not working, because this week the Star would like you to start working on dream projects.  The Star is the card of healing the past, allowing hope to propel you to a better future.  Take this week to continue letting go what doesn’t work and start investigating new projects.

Aquarius – Queen of Pentacles

We do our best building when we build with love.  This is the mission of the Queen of Pentacles.  Your challenge this week is to mindfully put a bit of love in everything you do with your hands.  When you recycle you are sending a bit of love to Mother Earth and the new generation of people.  When you make dinner you are sending some love to whoever eats it.  Not only do you learn to love your work a bit more but you also use your work to spread some love.

Pisces – Queen of Swords

Last week, you all got  the Star and the Ten of Swords which said that your big picture is heading in the right direction, and in details “beware of enemies bearing gifts.” The Queen of Swords adds to last week’s themes the theme of strategy.  This week you will need to keep your thinking cap on to navigate this week’s terrain.  Your only challenge, when you are unsure of a situation, is emulating this Queen’s best features, asking questions and deep listening the answers.
